This is a fun and comical vintage French TV commercial for Nescafé Cappuccino. The commercial plays perpetual stereotypes of the Italian man. This is a wonderful commercial for learning basic verbs. I highlight and translate all the verbs of interest.
Commercials
This is a French TV commercial from the 90s with the Simpsons receiving a free sample of Vizir Liquide laundry stain remover. The commercial is very funny and loaded with lots of fun French slang such as j’en ai marre (I’ve had it!), espèce de (you darned) and much more.
This is a 1980s French-Canadian commercial for Kraft peanut butter. The commercial is done in a literary way and makes great usage of the liason, passé simple and imparfait.
Great recent French commercial for Pedigree Dog food. This commercial is packed with lots of fun adjectives describing different dog personalities. The commercial also does a lot with the word tous (everybody or all). Frenchtoday.com has a wonderful blog post explaining the word tous.
This is a short commercial for a soap called LUX Beauté from the 1970s. The ad gives a great example of the indirect object pronoun y and uses a fun noun éclat, which translates to radiance. The key question here is: Who is the beautiful woman in the commercial?
This is a really fun commercial for the French lottery from the early 80s. In the commercial a customer is ordering dishes from a menu based on numbers, typical for a Chinese restaurant. Rather than taking down the order, the waiter is using the numbers to fill out a lottery ticket!
