Now this is where it gets a bit tricky. To say seventy you have to take the word for sixty (soixante) then add ten (dix). So, the word for seventy is “soxante-dix”. This is the case all the way through seventy-nine: soixante (60) plus nineteen dix-neuf (19) equals soixante dix-neuf. This is definitely the hardest part of the lesson so these numbers are worth practicing a bit more.
