Voiture — Meaning and Pronunciation
Voiture is a feminine French noun meaning “car.” It refers to a passenger vehicle used for transportation. For example, “J’ai une nouvelle voiture” (I have a new car). Informal alternatives include une auto, une bagnole, and une caisse.
The IPA pronunciation of voiture is /vwa.tyʁ/, which sounds approximately like “vwah-tewr.”
