Cours — Meaning and Pronunciation

Cours (m.) means “class,” “lesson” or “course” in French. It usually refers to a class session or a series of lessons. Cours is the most common word for an academic class or course, unlike classe (f.), which often refers to a classroom or group of students, and leçon (f.), which means a specific lesson.

IPA pronunciation of cours is /kuʁ/, which sounds approximately like “koor”.
