A topic that we love discussing is clothing. What do you like to wear and where do you buy your clothes? Here you’ll find a complete list of clothing questions that can be used for a French conversation class.

  1. Est‐ce que tu aimes acheter les nouveaux vêtements? Oui ou non et pourquoi? Do you like buying new clothes? Yes or no and why?
  2. Comment souvent est‐ce que tu achètes les nouveaux vêtements? How often do you buy new clothes? 
  3. Où est‐ce que tu vas pour acheter tes vêtements? Prefères‐tu les petites boutiques, les centres commercials ou les magasins à grande surface (big stores like Wal‐Mart)? Where do you go to buy clothes? Do you prefer little stores, malls or superstores such as Wal-Mart?
  4. Achetes-tu des vêtements en ligne? Quels sites aimes-tu pour acheter les vêtements? Do you buy clothes online? Which sites do you like for buying clothes?
    Combien de paires de chausssures possèdes-tu? Comment souvent achètes-tu des chaussures? Où est-ce que tu les achètes? How many pairs of shoes do you own? How often do you buy shoes? Where do you buy them?
  5. Est‐ce que tu aimes faire du lèche‐vitrines? Quels produits aimes-tu regarder? Do you like window shopping? Which items do you like to look at?
  6. Est‐ce que tu achètes les vêtements au moment des réductions de prix ou est‐ce que tu achètes les vêtements n’importe quand? Do you buy clothes during sales or do you buy them at any time?
  7. Est‐ce que tu as changé ta façon de t’habiller dans ta vie? Quand et comment as‐tu changé? Have you changed the way you dress during your lifetime? When and how did you change?
  8. Est‐ce qu’il y a un article de vêtements que tu évites de (avoid) porter? Is there an article of clothing that you avoid wearing?
  9. Est‐ce que tu as une variété de couleurs que tu aimes mettre, par exemple les couleurs chaudes (jaune, orange et rouge) ou les couleurs froides (bleu, vert, etc)? Is there a variety of colors that you like to wear, such as hot colors (yellow, orange and red) or cold colors (blue, green, etc)?
  10. Est‐ce que c’est important pour toi de t’habiller à la mode? Is it important to you to dress fashionably?
  11. Est‐ce que tu aimes un genre specifique de mode? Par example, retro, B.C.B.G, bohemian, artiste, raffiné, chic, exotique, etc? Do you like a specific style? For example, retro, preppy, bohemian, artistic, sophisticated, classy or exotic?
  12. Est‐ce que tu connais bien la mode? Est‐ce que tu regardes les sites Internet sur la mode, etc? Do you know fashion very well? Do you like at fashion sites online?
  13. Est‐ce que tu aimes acheter les bijoux? Oui ou non et pourquoi? Do you like buying jewelry? Yes or know and why?
  14. Est‐ce que tu mets des bijoux? Quels types de bijoux est‐ce que tu aimes mettre? Do you wear jewelry? What kinds jewelry do you like to wear?
  15. Est‐ce que tu as besoin de changer tes vêtements pour les saisons? Do you need to change clothes for the seasons?
  16. Est‐ce que tu aimes bien t’habiller? Comment souvent est-ce que tu t’habilles bien? Do you like to dress up? How often do you get dressed up?
  17. Quand était la dernière fois que tu t’es bien habillé(e)? When was the last time you got dressed up?
  18. Est‐ce qu’il y a un code vestimentaire (dress code) à l’endroit où tu travailles? Aimes‐tu te conformer aux regles? Oui ou non et pourquoi? Is there a dress code where you work? Do you like conforming to the rules? Yes or no and why?
  19. Est‐ce que tu mets les vêtements pour t’exprimer tes sentiments? Do you wear clothes to express your feelings?
  20. Est‐ce que tu t’habilles pour t’intégrer avec tes pairs ? Est‐ce que tu le faisais au lycée? Do you dress to fit in with your peers? Did you do this in high school?
  21. Est‐ce que tu a acheté les vêtements de seconde main? Quels vêtements as‐tu acheté et où est-ce que tu les as trouvé? Do you buy second-hand clothes? Which second-hand clothes have you bought and where did you find them?
  22. Est‐ce que les marques de vêtements sont importantes pour toi? Quelles marques aimes-tu? Are clothing brands important to you? Which brands do you like?
