Pas du tout — Meaning and Pronunciation
Pas du tout is a French expression meaning “not at all.” It is used to strongly negate a statement or answer a question, as in “Je ne suis pas du tout fatigué” (I’m not tired at all) or “Tu as peur ? — Pas du tout !“(Are you afraid? — Not at all!). A common mistake is to say pas de tout; the correct expression is always pas du tout.
The IPA pronunciation of pas du tout is /pa dy tu/, which sounds approximately like “pah dew too.”

Je n’aime pas du tout ces gens. Ils m’énervent !
I don’t like these people at all. They bother me.
Ces deux mots n’ont pas du tout le même sens. Rien à voir !
