Here’s a complete list of questions you can use for a French conversation class about where you live. Here you can find a downloadable PDF.

  1. Habites-tu dans une maison ou un appartement? Quelle est ta preference? Do you live in a house our apartment? Which is your preference?
  2. Ça fait combien de temps que tu habites dans ta maison actuelle? How long have you lived in your current home?
  3. Est‐ce que tu habites à la campagne ou près du centre‐ville? Quelle est ta préférence? Do you live in the city or countryside? What’s your preference?
  4. Décris les maisons dans la région où tu habites. Describe the houses in the region where you live.
  5. Décris l’exterieur de ta maison. Describe the inside of your house.
  6. As-tu un jardin et passes‐tu du temps dans le jardin? Do you have a yard and do you spend time there?
  7. As-tu un potager? Fais-tu du jardinage? Do you have a vegetable garden? Do you garden?
  8. Quelle est la couleur de ta maison? Aimes‐tu cette couleur? What color is your house? Do you like the color?
  9. Où gares-tu la voiture chez toi? As-tu un garage? Where do you park your car? Do you have a garage?
  10. Quelle est ta pièce préférée chez toi? Which room is your favorite?
  11. Dans quelle pièce est‐ce que tu passes la plupart du temps? Que fais‐tu dans la pièce? In which room do you spend most of your time? What do you do in the room?
  12. Combien de pièces est‐ce qu’il y a chez toi? Et combien d’étages? How many rooms does your house have? How many floors?
  13. Combien de salles de bains est‐ce qu’il y a chez toi? How many bathrooms do you have in your home?
  14. Es-tu satisfait avec l’endroit où tu habites? Are you satisfied with the place where you live?
  15. Dans combien de maisons/apartements est‐ce que tu as habité dans ta vie? How many houses and apartments have you lived in your life?
  16. Quel maison ou apartement est‐ce que tu as aimé le plus? Which home or apartemnt did you like the most?
  17. Est‐ce que ta maison/ton apartement est bien placé(e)? Is your home in a good location?
  18. Décris la maison de tes rêves. Describe your dream home.
  19. Connais-tu tes voisins? T’entends-tu bien avec eux? Do you know your neighbors? Do you get along well with them?
  20. Est‐ce que la maison de ton enfance te manques? Do you miss your childhood home?
  21. Est-ce que l’endroit où tu habites est convenable pour les animaux domestiques? Is the place where y ou live suitable for pets?
  22. Habites-tu loin ou près des espaces verts? Do you live near or far from parks?
  23. Quels aspects de ta maison aimerais-tu changer? Which aspects of your home would you like to change?
  24. Connais-tu le bricolage ou embauches-tu un bricoleur? Do you know how to fix things or do you hire a handyman?
  25. Dois-tu chauffer la maison en hiver? Comment chauffes-tu la maison? Do you heat the home in winter? How do you heat your home?
  26. Fait-il chaud pendant l’ete? Utilises-tu la climatisation? Is it hot out during the summer? Do you use air conditioning?
