Today we’re doing a special lesson on les aurores boréales or the northern lights. I’ve been going outside almost every night to see them and I still haven’t had any chance (luck)!

Word origin

Aurore in French or “aurora” in English comes from Aurora, the Roman goddess of the dawn. Boréales or “borealis” in English comes from Boreas, the Greek god of the north wind.
