Marcher Meaning
Marcher is a common French verb meaning “to walk.” It is used for walking on foot, as in Je marche dans le parc (I walk in the park). Marcher can also mean “to work” or “to function” when talking about a machine or device, as in Le mixeur ne marche pas (The blender isn’t working). In everyday conversation, ça marche means “that works,” “okay,” or “sounds good.”

The IPA pronunciation of marcher is /maʁ.ʃe/, which sounds approximately like “mar-shay.”
