Going through customs can be a bit stressful for everybody. This is especially true if you’re doing it in another language such as French. Here’s you’ll learn all the important phrases and vocabulary words you’ll need to know for passing through passport control in French. Note that the word “passport” is the same: “le passport”. French Customs & Immigration Vocabulary
- Je suis ici pour le travail I’m here for work.
- Je suis ici pour les vacances I’m here on holiday.
- Je suis ici pour deux semaines I’m here for two weeks.
- Votre passport s’il vous plaît Your passport please.
- Je compte loger chez… I plan on staying at…
- Nous voyageons ensemble We are traveling together
- Qu’est ce que vous aller faire ici? What will you do here?
- J’ai quelque chose à déclarer I have something to declare.
- Je suis ici pour les etudes I’m here for study.
- Je suis ici pour trois jours I’m here for three days.
- Nous sommes ici de passage We’re here on transit.
- Voici mon passport Here’s my passport.
- Je voyage seul(e) I’m traveling alone.
- C’est ma première fois en France It’s my first time to France.
- Je n’ai rien à déclarer I have nothing to declare.
