Drôle Meaning
Drôle is a common French adjective meaning “funny,” “amusing,” “strange,” or “odd,” depending on the context. When describing a person, joke, or story, it usually means “funny”: Il est très drôle (He’s very funny). It can also mean “strange” or “peculiar,” especially in expressions such as C’est drôle (That’s strange/funny). Drôle is used for both masculine and feminine nouns; the plural is drôles.

The IPA pronunciation of drôle is /dʁol/, which sounds approximately like “drohl.”
