Voir — Meaning, Pronunciation, and Examples in French

📘 Voir meaning

Voir is one of the most common French verbs and means “to see.” It is used to talk about physical sight, understanding, and perception in everyday situations. You’ll often see it in expressions like voir quelque chose (to see something) and je vois (I understand). Examples: je vois la tour Eiffel d’ici (I can see the Eiffel Tower from here), je vois ce que tu veux dire (I see what you mean), and je vais voir (I’ll go check). 🔊 Listen to examples.
