Pâtisserie — Meaning and Pronunciation
Pâtisserie (f.) is a French noun meaning “pastry shop”, “pastry”, or “French pastries and desserts” in general. In everyday French, une pâtisserie most commonly refers to a shop that sells pastries, cakes, tarts, éclairs, macarons, and other sweet baked goods.
IPA pronunciation of pâtisserie is /pɑ.ti.sʁi/ (IPA), which sounds like “pah-tee-sree”.
