Regarder Meaning
Regarder is a common French verb meaning “to look at” or “to watch.” It describes intentionally directing your eyes or attention toward someone or something. Unlike voir (to see), which can happen without intention, regarder usually involves making an effort to look. For example, “Regarde ce tableau !” (Look at this painting!) or “On regarde souvent la télé le soir” (We often watch TV in the evening).

The IPA pronunciation of regarder is /ʁə.ɡaʁ.de/, which sounds approximately like “ruh-gar-day.”
